Goals Part 2

I thought I would check in with you and let you know how I am getting on with goal number one and discuss goal number 2!!

The past two weeks have been amazing! I have stuck with my plan and it has paid off massively. I have lost a total of 10 pounds already and I am feeling a so much better, happier, healthier and have lots more energy.

I have been checking in with my goal and feeling good about making progress towards that goal.
It hasn’t been completely easy and some days I just wanted to give up and eat a whole cake, but I have stuck with it and allowed myself to have little treats so that I wouldn’t fail completely and give in. It is important not to feel guilty about these cravings as they are totally normal, but to be prepared for them and have nice little healthy snacks. For instance, I was super desperate for something sweet, so I had a tablespoon of Nutella and dipped a banana in it. That way I didn’t have anything unhealthy which would have lead me to feel bad about it. It is little things like that that have made it easier to cope. Preparing for little struggles and nipping them in the bud.

So my next goal that I want to briefly share with you is that I want to have a clean and tidy home. I have always struggled to stay tidy and organized. I am great at coming up with ways to get organized, but I struggle to stay on top of it and end up with a mountain of laundry and piles of paper!
This is a goal that is going to need a lot of work for me. We have as a family made a small step already towards the goal and we have a family planning meeting on a Sunday evening after dinner. We all sit down and fill in the weekly chore plan. We set a reward for the week and if we all achieve our tasks then we all get the reward. I have to admit that we started this last week and I didn’t complete all my tasks! So, like I said this is going to be something that I am going to need to focus on!

I constantly say “I hate doing the dishes” or “I hate cleaning” or “I’m too lazy”. So my little goal for the next week is to block those thoughts and replace them with “I love having a clean house” and “I am strong and can do anything” and “I am proud of the hard work I have put into my home”. Changing the mindset that I have currently and my negative limiting thoughts that are holding me back.

I’ll be sure to check in again and let you know how I am getting on with my goals. Please feel free to share your goals on my Facebook page and I will be more than happy to help you stay on track! If you want to keep them private just pop me a message and I will be your accountability partner.

Goals Part 1

So the first goal that I am sharing with you all is my health goal, that I have struggled with for some time now. My first goal is …..

To loose 60 lbs.

This is a big goal, I know! But I need to do this for myself, my children and my partner. This is a personal thing for me to share. I have struggled with my weight ever since I had my first son at 17 years old! It wasn’t just my weight that I struggled with it was the confidence that I had in myself. I was 18 and had stretch marks and a mamma pouch belly.  I did not like the way that my body looked and I dressed to show that. I have learned to love the stretch marks as they aren’t something that I can change, but the mamma belly I had 11 years ago is still there and has grown significantly! I am proud that my body was strong enough to carry two beautiful children.

However, I am not healthy. I have numerous aches and pains. I have little energy and rely on Argi and coffee to boost me up. It really hit me that my weight had really increased when my clothes that I worked so hard two years ago to fit into no longer fit me. It appeared this weight had come from nowhere. It had snuck up on me without me realising. I was terrified to gain weight after the challenging work I had put in two years ago, but I was in the wrong frame of mind last year. I didn’t focus on the positives, I didn’t set goals, and I didn’t have Forever in my life.

It truly is amazing to me how Forever can really lift your spirits and give you that drive to achieve the life that you want. Surrounding yourself with positive people who want you to succeed is such an important thing to do. Over the past few weeks I have been on an up and down roller coaster of emotions. I now know why I was running in circles and getting nowhere. I had no direction and no plan! I had nothing to work for! I lived day to day and never looked for anything better.
I was unhappy, I was lost, I was stuck. I was sure that everything was against me and things would never get better. I was wrong! So very Wrong. Negative thoughts can control your life and slowly bring you down minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week and year by year. This was me in 2017. You could have had a really good week and only one bad thing might have happened, but when you are in this state of mind you only focus on the bad negative thing.

This was when I would reach for the food or the wine. All those empty calories that were helping that weight to slowly grab hold of my waist, hips and bum. Without purpose or direction, I was slowly getting deeper and deeper into depression and with that came the need to comfort myself. Which in turn lead to less and less self-confidence. But the quick comfort of the food and drink never lasted and never truly made me happy or confident.  So it’s time to grab a hold of my future so that I can take back control over these silly urges that managed to gain control over me! I order to do that I needed a plan!

This is where I am at right now…

I have broken my goal into two smaller goals to get started:
1.     Decrease Calories by 450 a day
2.     Exercise 4 times a week

But this wasn’t enough. How will I make sure that I can achieve and measure these smaller goals?

The plan looks like this.

1.     Decrease Calories by 450 a day
a.     Count calories with an app
b.    Track food and calories in My Pro Planner Fitness addition
c.     Drink Forever Light Ultra as a meal once a day.
2.     Exercise 4 times a week
a.     Walk everyday
b.    Increase running slowly
c.     Start Crossfit at local gym

Achievable and measurable goals, written down so that I can commit to them. It’s looking pretty impossible to fail at this point. Now I know that bad days are going to come, and this is where I now know to reach out for help, and the good thing about surrounding yourself with positive people is that they all want you to succeed! I will push, and I will fight.

Don’t plan to fail and don’t fail to plan!

What are your health goals this year? Run further? Lift more? Gain more muscle? Have you failed to plan?

My October top five!

Hello and happy Friday. I thought that I would share with you my top five products for October; what they are and what I use them for in my daily life. I'm constantly trying new products, as there are just so many to try.

Number 5:
Aloe Heat Lotion

This is my god send whenever I get aches and pains! I love Aloe Heat Lotion as the smell is not too strong. It takes a few minutes to kick in, but when it does, the relief is tremendous.

I have been learning amazing new tricks with this wonderful potion too. I added a small amount mixed with one pump of Aloe Hand Soap to hot water in a tub. As soon as I dipped my feet in, it felt like a slice of heaven.                                                                                                        I have also been using this bad boy to combat headaches lately. Along with increasing magnesium by taking Forever Calcium, I smooth the smallest amount on my temples, behind my ears and on the back of my neck.

Number 4:
2x MDP

I must admit this is a product that has taken me some time to actually try out. We have quite sensitive skin in our house and I used to swear by only one washing powder! I love the smell my laundry had when I use this baby. It is incredibly concentrated, so I only use the tiniest amount.

I am super excited to start using it in other places around the house, so I bought some spray bottles to use.  I only need to add a small amount and top it up with good old H2O to have myself a brilliant all round cleaner. We all know how much I love cleaning....

Number 3:
Forever Bee Pollen

Bee Pollen is not something that I ever thought I would be ingesting. There are many benefits to taking Bee Pollen and I would urge you to do some research on it if you are interested in taking it.

I take it and reap the benefits it gives me personally. I find that it gives me the same boost of energy that a cup of coffee would give, but it lasts all day!

*Bee Pollen is not recommended to pregnant of breastfeeding women, or persons with a pollen allergy.

Number 2:
Forever Aloe Lips

This little number is fantastic for this time of year! My lips always seem to get dry in the autumn winds. Aloe Lips is so soft and smooth and makes the perfect base to my favorite lipstick.

I don't just use this little wonder on my lips, it is an all round tool. Little Nats and Mosquitoes are thriving at this time of year in North Wales. A little dab of this and it soothes the itch and makes it heal so much faster.

I have now keep one or two of these in my bag, as they are perfect on the go. They are a first aid wonder and have now become the "magic cream" for cuts and grazes on my little men. It really is a little magic cream!

Number 1
Aloe Blossom Herbal Tea

I really don't think that there is anything more cozy than an autumn evening by the fire with a hot cup of tea. This delicious new product has me snuggling up more times than I should be!

It has such an autumn taste and smell. The Cinnamon and Orange combined is so sweet and fragrant and the Chamomile sets me off into a super stress free, relaxed mood. For me there is just something special about having a delicious cup of tea in my best china and snuggling up with my frog hot water bottle. That's what make the new Aloe Blossom Tea my number one for October!!

If you fancy giving any of these product a try let me know! You can contact me on here, or Facebook at @ohaloethere. Have a fantastic weekend!

Oh, aloe there Clean 9 Challenge!

More details coming soon! Starting November 1st!

Happy Aloeween!

We've been having some fun times in the Couling Household lately in the form of random Saturday night dance parties with the kids. It all started with a couple of dance songs coming on the radio, to full blown party lights and face paint. Who doesn't love a bit of face paint.

I live for silly moments like this!

No better reason to celebrate!

My family and I have recently moved to the beautiful countryside in North Wales. The move has been absolutely what the doctor ordered. I had become very ill living in the city and working full time, and the move came just in time.

The stress of working full time in an office and the struggle of not being able to watch my two children grow up had caused me to become severely depressed. My GP signed me off from work for two weeks. During this two-week period my partner and I decided that enough is enough and that we had to do something to change our situation. We have family here in Wales and needed the support network closer to us, so we started our home search.

The first home we viewed we instantly fell in love with and though we viewed other houses, we were all heart set on this perfect home. We moved in August and haven’t looked back since.

Running my own home business has given me a whole new lease of life. I am now able to take the boys to school without having to rush them to a breakfast club. I have time to go for a run before I settle into work. I don’t have to worry about being late as I am my own boss! Best of all I get to pick my children up and spend the afternoons with them before sitting down to a family dinner. This is a complete turnaround from the rushing home in traffic to make sure I picked them up in time at, feeding them a quick dinner before it was time for bed and another day was gone before I’d had a chance to process it!

Life has never been better and I cannot wait for the future! No better reason to celebrate and a whole new life with freedom and fortune.
